As robots powered by AI move into the physical world they can fail, be manipulated, or act in ways no one can later explain. When something goes wrong the only account of it belongs to the company that built the machine.

    The robot acts

    A pick fails. The arm contacts a person. Whatever happened, it happened in a tenth of a second and nobody was watching.

  2. T+0.004

    We copy, we do not intervene

    Sensor, decision and actuator streams are tapped at the port. The robot’s own control loop is never entered — there is nothing of ours in the path that could have caused this.

  3. T+0.011

    The record is sealed

    Each segment is hashed and signed as it is written. Change one frame after the fact and the chain no longer verifies.

  4. T+later

    Somebody else can check

    An insurer, a regulator or a court re-verifies the signatures against a record the robot’s maker never held. That is the whole product.
